It’s been an amazing romantic night and the two of you are in her apartment cuddling on the couch. If you’re on top of your game you’ll offer her a massage. It doesn’t have to be overly sexual with naked torsos and dripping candles, but a simple shoulder massage can get you a long way in the dating game. Massages melt people in the best way, and if you do it right you’ll be leaving her wanting more from you.
What to Avoid
No one likes the claw. The claw is what happens when you grip too hard with the fingers and dig into her skin. Even with clothes on it can hurt and she might feel too uncomfortable to say anything and instead just wiggle out of it.
The Vulcan Nerve Pinch won’t get you any further. If you’re not familiar with Star Trek, the Vulcan Nerve Pinch is a maneuver one of the characters does to fight his enemy. You aren’t fighting her, you’re massaging her. Instead of having your fingers stuck together and working with your thumb on her back to pinch around her shoulders, try to open your grip and see what happens.
What to Do
If it’s at all possible, make the atmosphere romantic. Turn off the TV. and put on some music or candles.
Keep your hands strong, but don’t go 100% unless she tells you to. Giving a wimpy massage is worse than not giving one at all. If you’ve gone limp in the fingers, then she may as well have been watching a movie or eating.
Sit in a Comfortable Spot
If you’re uncomfortable, you’re not going to give a good rub. Sit on the couch with her on the floor in front of you. She might not want to be on the floor for whatever reason, and if that’s the case then ask if you can sit on the couch back behind her. This is the most comfortable way to sit without getting close and pervy feeling with her.
Keep It Slow
While you might be tempted to do some karate chopping and going fast to cover as much area as possible, it will ultimately work against you. Concentrate on her upper back and work in slow, even motions in a mirror image. If she comments on some sort of hard knot on one side then you can use both hands to work it out, but otherwise the massage will feel the best if it’s balanced on each side.
