As corny as it might be, most ladies love homemade gifts. Adding some into a mix of store bought goodies will up the ante on the other guys who are just buying her necklaces and roses. While you don’t want to give her some crap ashtray or something, you do want to try to make simple things that will go over well. It’s not difficult once you put your mind to it. Giving her your homemade gift along with some purchased ones will make you look sweet and not cheap. If you’re drawing cards at home in lieu of something from the store it may just come across as not wanting to spend money on her. Try these three gifts that take little skill to make to woo her.
This is actually a really cool gift you won’t hear about in most alternative dating guides. You’ll still seem to be a romantic person who’s giving her jewelry, but it will be absolutely one of a kind and thoughtful as hell. All you have to do is buy a blank ring with a plate where the geode will go. You can find them on eBay, Amazon, or literally thousands of other websites for really cheap (10 for around $5). The only important part of this is that it has a flat part to glue the stone on. It also shouldn’t be too tiny. If you’re worried about knowing her ring size, then get one that’s adjustable. Turn to one of those sites again and buy a geode or piece of pyrite that looks pretty. Once you have these two all you have to do is literally glue them together. Buy an industrial strength glue and bam, you have an awesome gift.
Maybe you don’t want to get her even more jewelry because she’s already a jewelry addict. Help her sort out her stash by making her a storage unit for her stuff. Take a picture frame staple some ¼ inch wire mesh to the back. Next, stretch some fabric on the top of that to make a neat backdrop. If it’s possible, try to fold the edge of the fabric so there’s a little bit of room between it and the wire mesh. If you’re fine with that much effort then she has an earring holder. If you want to take it a step further then add some eye hooks in the front for her necklaces.
