iTaboo.com Review: The Reason iTaboo.com Didn’t Make It On Our “Top Alt Dating” List
Admittedly, we always have to roll our eyes a little bit when we come across a site that talks about taboo in the first place. We’re into alt culture, and there’s nothing that weird about it. Maybe we like dyeing our hair some weird colors and piercing some interesting places, but it’s not like we’re going to stab a man for not liking the same kinks that we’re into.
This site is just trying too hard.
iTaboo.com, unfortunately, is a site that we just have to heave a long, hard sigh over. It isn’t particularly awful except for the fact that it’s scared away a lot of potential members by being pretty cheesy, corny, and for in general, trying too hard.

This site is crap. For real alternative dating sites read our reviews.
We get what it’s trying to do. Playing up kink and generally trying to act like what we’re into is weird and perverted, however, isn’t going to make anyone want to stick around for very long.
The kinds of people that will stick around on this site are, unfortunately, weirdo’s that just don’t know what to do with themselves. That’s why we’re really not that into iTaboo.com in general. It’s kind of a flop for us on a few different levels, and we’re not exactly sorry to move on from this site and try something else.
We Tried iTaboo.com For Alt Dating – Here Are The Results
During the extent of our iTaboo review, we took the time to send out 200 e-mails over a six month period to different women that we found on this site.
We’re pretty adamant about making sure that our e-mails appear authentic and realistic, so we went out of our way to make sure that they catered to specific interests on their profiles.
It’s not like that changed much.
Out of those 200 emails that we sent out, only 49 of them actually garnered a response. That’s an extremely disappointing number for us, considering we’d like to see at least 100 responses. Not even getting half of that is enough to make us realize that this site just isn’t for us.
This became even clearer when not a single one of those emails was actually interested in meeting up with us in person. Considering we really wanted a hookup, this site just ended up being a giant flop on several different levels. We can’t imagine much of anyone being able to make this site work.
We Did Not Like iTaboo.com: Do We Think iTaboo.com Is a Scam?
During our time spent doing our iTaboo review, it became pretty clear that this site was just a lure, but had absolutely no substance behind it. That’s honestly one of the worst sites that can be built in order to attract those in an alternative lifestyle; we’ll get bored, and we definitely won’t come back.
This site also, in general, was just trying to throw around a lot of terms and make us feel somewhat guilty for what we liked doing in our spare time. Newsflash: no one is going to enjoy being guilted for the kinks that they enjoy. Why this site honestly felt like that was a good idea, we’re not sure, but it definitely didn’t work for our libidos.
All in all, iTaboo scams are definitely a thing. This site isn’t one that we’d want to hop on again, and we aren’t very interested in trying it out again in the future to see if it gets any better.
iTaboo.com Review: Why You Might Think Twice Before Using iTaboo.com For Alt Dating?
We can’t recommend this site at all, and that’s because iTaboo scams are definitely a real, active thing. This site just isn’t going to provide you with a single bit of help in finding an actual living and breathing date, and it especially isn’t going to give you a good step into the alternative community.
The most concerning aspect of this site is honestly, the fact that it focuses so much on guilting anyone that comes onto it. This isn’t any way for a site to operate, and we honestly find it frustrating and disappointing.
That’s why we just have to recommend that you check out our number one rated site, Perversions . Rather than make you feel guilty for your kinks and interests, Perversions is a site that will help you meet people that are like-minded and very much into embracing their individuality.
This is the kind of site that you need in order to find an amazing hookup: not sites like iTaboo that will just make you feel guilty and tired.
iTaboo.com in the News
Unfortunately, iTaboo isn’t going to teach you how to be a responsible Dominant, so this article should: http://voices.yahoo.com/bdsm-relationships-responsible-dominant-1779597.html?cat=7
While acting our your fantasies might be difficult on this site, there are others out there that are better, and this article can give you a leg up in the meantime: http://voices.yahoo.com/the-submissive-males-guide-submission-write-1873884.html?cat=41
All those statistics on the front page make it look great in comparison to others but don’t be fooled. It SUCKS so don’t waste your time.
iTaboo.com is pretty easy to write a review of because there’s just really nothing good to say. It’s a poorly designed site with no one worthwhile on there.
At least this place isn’t a scam. There’s something to be said about that, right? It could be trying to steal all your money and it’s not.
“Welcome to the world of kink” is a nice thing to have on the homepage. iTaboo has that going to it, so it seems legit at first.
There’s nothing good about this site so just don’t bother with it. Ignore the statistics on the home page and just move on to another one.
Don’t even bother making a profile! I figured I’d test it out and I’m sorry I wasted my time. There’s nothing for you on this site.
I wish I could give an even lower rating than I have on every other place I’ve talked about this site on. It deserves every bit of bad press it gets.
This deserves every bad review it gets. It’s 2013 and it seems like BDSM is the new thing, but that doesn’t mean people who aren’t even serious about it should have profiles on sites.
I’m not even sure this is a dating site. Sites like iTaboo.com are glorified personals ads and nothing more. Not sure about it at all tbh.
Sites like this are what gives BDSM a bad name tbh. A lot of the profiles seemed like they were making a joke out of kink enthusiasts like myself so I wasn’t pleased.
To leave a review or not to leave a review…that’s what I had to ask myself. iTaboo is deserving of bad ones, that’s for sure. This site sucks.
In comparison to other BDSM-specific sites this one falls VERY flat, in my opinion. I wish I could have found a good alternative dating site but no luck.
I could put this site in comparison against hundreds of others and it would keep falling flat every time. This site is terrible! Don’t waste your time.
It’s pretty legit that iTaboo.com doesn’t make you pay for anything. About the rest of the site tho I’m not sure bc I haven’t used it much.
I don’t care if there are 33,000+ members, that’s 33,000 people who don’t know the meaning of a good site and are wasting their time on this one.
If you’re looking to test the waters and get into BDSM then iTaboo.com is definitely NOT the site for you. Sorry guys, look somewhere else.
No wonder ratings for this site are so low. There’s nothing redeeming about it. Full of people who don’t even understand what BDSM is, I’m pretty sure.
I’ve written a lot of reviews this year. 2013 was a decent year for me but I don’t think it’s thanks to any of the dating sites I’ve been using.
When I picture dating sites iTaboo isn’t one of the first ones that comes to mind but maybe I’ll be surprised. I don’t have an opinion rly.
Sites like this should be really good – they’re entirely free and that’s really nice. Too bad everything else about this site falls short in every way.
Writing a review of iTaboo.com won’t be easy. I hate everything about it so there isn’t really anything to say beyond that. Sorry, but I have nothing.
In comparison to other kink-oriented sites, this one makes me wish I hadn’t wasted my time on it even more than dating sites normally do.
This could be a scam, I’m not sure. It says it’s entirely free but I didn’t even create a profile yet…I don’t like the look of the site tho.
I wish iTaboo was as legit as it looked. It has a really streamlined design and I hope it doesn’t disappoint in other aspects as well.
Really wishing I had good things to say about this site but I really just don’t. I thought it would be nice to have an alternative kink site but I was disappointed.
